A lack of cooperation
Confession: I haven't been to the gym or yoga studio or done anything for almost a week. And it feels terrible. Well, actually I haven't been because *I* feel terrible.

I started feeling sick after a night out on the weekend and put it down to overdoing it on the food and drinks. But when the end of Sunday came around and I wasn't feeling much better, I knew that there was probably some kind of bug involved.
Three days later and I'm still challenged by eating a normal meal. My stomach is definitely one unhappy character! I hate it when my mind is well enough to want to work out but my body just won't cooperate.
I haven't really had the time to stay in bed and recuperate, which would probably be helpful, so around work and other obligations I've just been doing my best to eat healthy and coddle my stomach a bit. I'm not into popping pills so I've been alternating between mint tea and ginger tea, which help me feel better and get through the day but obviously aren't cures. I'm also a big fan of the Sleepytime herbal tea which has camomile and spearmint (but, weirdly, doesn't actually make me sleepy). I've heard that licorice tea can help calm an upset stomach too but I hate the taste of licorice (except when it's in Licorice Allsorts. Go figure!).
I'm particularly bummed about the stomach bug as I was all set to check out Rebounce tonight to share with you this week, but bouncing around on a trampoline was definitely not on the cards with the way I feel at the moment!
Hopefully this will work its way out of my system in the next couple of days and I'll be back on it next week. I just need to keep my impatience with myself at not getting to the gym/not getting better as fast as I'd like in check
In the meantime, what do you do for an upset tummy? Any tried and tested cures that you swear by? Do you head straight for the pharmacy or do you stick to teas and herbs?
