Sigh. If I could live in a yoga studio it would be this one. There's something so, so lovely about Triyoga Soho.
It's got a fantastically easy-to-get-to location in Kingly Court, off Oxford Circus just between Regent St and Carnaby St, making it perfect for a pre-brunch yoga class. And despite the super central location, it feels like a little pool of calm tucked away on the second floor.
With skylights to let in natural light and fresh air, it was a nice contrast to a lot of the sweaty basement, high-intensity workouts I've been doing lately and a great chance to stretch out and strengthen in a more zen way.
This class was my first with Karin and I would definitely check her sessions out again. Her style was lighthearted and funny and really balanced strength moves with flexibility. Her Sunday morning class was really form-focussed, which I liked a lot and is so important, especially as I feel I've got a lot to learn and refine in my yoga practice. I came away feeling I'd learned and improved my form on key poses like chaturanga dandasana. It also made me really want to buy a yoga strap. Even though I'm not supposed to be buying any stuff right now!
Triyoga have three other spaces in London and friends have told me the Camden one has an even more warm and comforting vibe so it's next on my list to check out.
With tonnes of classes at times throughout the day, an adorable and delicious cafe on site, plus three locations, this should be a no brainier for anyone who's looking for some good yoga in London.
